Acting Classes
These classes are geared to children through adolescents specializing in Sanford Meisner's technique of active listening and responding truthfully to imaginary circumstances. Rather than relying on emotional recall, which can be hard for children, The Meisner Technique plugs into their imagination by focusing on emotional preparation and actively "listening."

Acting 101
A solid foundation is important. This class focuses on building confidence through engaging activities and tools. We focus on listening skills, building imagination, physical expression, and script breakdown, We later learn about how to start in the business such as setting up profiles, headshots, and auditioning.
Journey Beyond
Classes now being offered
Melissa Dunn began her acting journey at age 10, after spending summers with the local community theatre. She was also a devoted ballerina spending summers with the Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Austin, and Ballet Mississippi. She was offered an apprenticeship to dance professionally, but instead attended college majoring in ballet and theatre on scholarship. Her attention turned to film much later after she became a mother to her 3 children, and she has been studying ever sense. She is currently being mentored by Kirk B. Woller and has been for the past several years. She continues to learn and grow in ActorKlass and in the Woller Technique. Her real passion and journey is to inspire and mentor children. Having taught ballet for the past 25 years, she considers it a privilege to foster and develop these future actors. Contact for additional information or references.
